The Team lead prepares project work plans to meet requirements. Bottom line...The key to the TNC success is clear communication. We identify project requirements, strategies and schedules in support of engagement letter(s) and contract(s). We are focused on deliverables, schedules, and success. One of the Partners functions as primary client contact, communicating about mutual expectations. Interprets client needs, assessing the full requirements; identifies solutions to non-standard tasks/queries. Each member of the team plays a critical role in the development of the practice.

NICK KOVACIC

Founding Partner - The Nicholas Companies LLC

Nick Kovacic is the founding Partner of The Nicholas Companies. He has over 30 + years of experience in Business and Technology companies in both the Commercial markets and with companies supplying products and services to the Federal Government. He spent most of those years in Leadership and Management roles. Nick has expertise in Corporate Strategy, Business Development, Operations Management, Business Technologies, Pricing and negotiations and very well versed in New and Nascent technologies. Served the Telecom, Technology, Financial, Federal, Non-Profit, Media, Education, Retail industries.

Prior to starting The Nicholas Companies LLC; Mr.Kovacic was a Partner in Nygmatech LLC; a local investment company. While working with Nygmatech, Mr.Kovacic raised private venture capital, supplied the vision, strategic direction and orchestrated a successful sale of one of their portfolio companies to Yahoo! (Now the Yahoo! Free Calendar Service). Mr.Kovacic was VP of Business Development of the Vicinity Corporation, a pioneer in Digital Mapping/GPS/LBS/Web based company, which was purchased by Microsoft (May 2003) following a successful IPO in 2000. In total their portfolio companies have raised more than $100 million dollars. Nick maintains his close ties to the Washington Metro Technology Community as a Member of AFCEA and AFFIRM. He was an advisor to Baltimore Venture Mentors and the Emerging Technology Center in Baltimore, Md. He is also an Advisory Board Member to the Curiosity Zone (Science Labs for Kids), The Supply Our Schools Foundation, and is a founding member of the U.S Naval Academy High Tech Council (The Wardroom). Nick holds a BA in Economics from Bethany College.

WALTER E. ROGERS JR.

Senior Partner - The Nicholas Companies LLC

Mr. Rogers had a very successful career as a Senior Level Corporate Executive with over 30+ years of experience in Sales and Marketing Management with information systems technology firms in both the commercial and Federal markets. He also held Executive Sales and Management positions with product companies, specializing in software, hardware, networks, and IT systems and Systems Integrators. Walt maintains very strong relationships with all Major Systems Integrators, and most CIO's, with both DoD and Civilian Agencies.

He is an Active Member of the Industry Advisory Council, ITAA, and AFCEA. He is a former Board Member of the Washington AFCEA Chapter. Walt attended the Georgetown University in WDC were he earned a BS in BA Degree.

DALE H. COLDREN

Partner - The Nicholas Companies LLC

Mr. Coldren has over 30 years of sales and marketing experience; during his career he has held several executive level positions including President, Vice President of Sales and several Managerial roles with IT Software, Hardware, Network, and Cyber security, IT Consulting Services, Storage, High Performance Computing, Emergency Communications and Systems Integration Companies.

Dale has over 8 years of State and Federal Government Executive experience as a Legislative Assistant for a US Congressman and then became the Executive Director of the Pennsylvania Department of Health. Dale has developed sales strategies to close opportunities worth over $100 million. He has very strong relationships with many Government CIOs, Directors, Corporate Systems Integrators, Sales Executives, Capture Managers and Program Managers. Dale's skill set includes response preparation for RFPs, RFQs and RFIs within DOD accounts, Civilian Government accounts, State Government and Local Government accounts. Excellent experience with the Government FARs, Government IT standards, procurement process and government contracts (GSA schedule, IDIQ, Firm Fixed Contracts and Cost-Plus contracts). Dale has extensive experience with procurement teaming strategies and government sales pricing strategies. Dale attended The American University, BS/BA, Economics and Marketing and Southeastern University, where he earned an MBA, in Marketing/Finance.
